Punta Sdobba, a fishermen’s village in the Isonzo natural reserve - Friuli Venezia Giulia

Описание: Punta Sdobba is situated on the orographic right of the Isonzo river near the Isonzato, which is the terminal part of the Venetian Litoranea. We are near Grado, in Friuli Venezia Giulia.

With a short walk you will arrive to see the fishermen's village officially born in 1937, when the houses were built in masonry replacing what before were the "casoni di valle" in which the fishermen took refuge and remained for the whole week to fish and then return in the days of rest.

You will see the rods in the wind and a village - that of Punta Sdobba - where only seven people now reside!

The fishermen gather with their large nets cuttlefish, sea bass, mullet and then sell them in Grado, as they are members of the relevant cooperative.

It would be wonderful, in my opinion, if this fascinating place could regain some splendor without losing its uniqueness.

This is a short walk into the past, into an unique village!
