Описание: Verbs which do not carry out the function of showing action or belonging or being are called Non-Finite verbs. They are only verbs in structure but in function they are either noun or adjective. This video talks about the 3 categories of Non-Finite verbs: Infinitive, that is, ‘to+V’ used both as noun and adjective, Gerund, that is, ‘V+ing’ used as a subject or object noun in a sentence and participle—both present and past participle forms of the root verb which carry out the adjective function. Relevant examples are given for each. Learners need to practice these repeatedly so that they can identify non-finite usages and also use these in their own speaking and writing.
