This is a lovely, easy recipe for an 'everyday' style whole grain sourdough raisin bread. This bread would make an amazing fried cinnamon toast! Made with fresh milled whole wheat and khorasan/kamut flours, water, cinnamon and raisins (you could add other dried fruits), you can't really go wrong. Wholemeal raisin toast was something I enjoyed growing up, but I hadn't made a sourdough version for years before I made this video. I'm glad I did, it's so tasty and nourishing - especially toasted!
If you don't have fresh milled flour just use the best quality stone ground whole wheat or wholemeal flour you can find. If you would like to use all purpose or other refined flours, just reduce the water amount slightly.
RECIPE
my loaf pan is 20 cm long, 7.5 cm high and 10.5 cm wide at the widest part
400g stoneground whole wheat flour (I'm using this wheat at the moment https://amzn.to/3ahD9dm - paid link)
100g stoneground khorasan/kamut flour
8g salt
375g water
120g whole wheat sourdough starter
1 tsp cinnamon
2/3 cup sultanas, raisins or currants, soaked and drained
