As we embark upon our 4th year of What Did Prince Do This Week?, we dedicate this entire series to our dear Ricky Wyatt (Oct. 21, 1971–Dec. 28, 2025). We will honor Ricky in this episode and the next, as well as throughout the year, and always. #WDPDTW will never be the same!

In episode 153 for Week 1 of 1986 and Year 4 of What Did Prince Do This Week?, we’ll be joined by Author Duane Tudahl to continue to discuss the “Flesh Sessions” (Madrid, Slaughterhouse, Breathless, Just Can’t Stop, Run Amok, 12 Keys (Question of U), High Colonic, Mobile, Villanova Junction AKA Voodoo Who, Give Me Yo’ Most Strongest Whiskey Aka Finest Whiskey, Love 2 U, Letter U AKA Damn, U Gotta Shake Something), and Prince attending a Patti LaBelle performance in LA, and the songs, All Day, All Night, Kiss 12-inch version. Love and Sex, and Tricky [different from The Time’s]. The Bangles' Different Light album was also released this week. It contained the Prince-penned "Manic Monday."

Join us every Saturday at noon ET for What Did Prince Do This Week? (#WDPDTW), an interactive, virtual book club where we read Duane Tudahl's entire Prince Studio Sessions book series very slowly.

Beyond a book club, it is also a Saturday salon, echoing the spirit of the Harlem Renaissance and inviting discussions that dive deep into every aspect of Prince's purple world and music in general.
