Fifth day of our journey begins in Hrauneyjar Highland Center. We take roads 26 and F225 and turn on the trail that leads to the top of Hekla volcano. Eventually, the road becomes too steep climb to the car and the wheels just loose their grip 2 km before the end of the road, so we walk on from there.
After seeing Hekla and discovering a small trail next to it leading to Krakatindur mountain, we return to the road F225 and visit the Landmannahellir cave. F225 leads us to F208 and we return to the Hrauneyjar Highland Center, to spend another night there.
