Описание: This is an immersive 4-day solo female hiking journey across Iceland’s legendary Laugavegur Trail — tent camping in the wild Highlands and captured entirely on iPhone.

Ten years ago, I hiked the Laugavegur Trail alone for the first time — naïve, unprepared, yet deeply moved. That journey changed my life and eventually led me to move to Iceland. A decade later, after a difficult chapter in my life, I return to the same trail — to walk, reflect, and reconnect with the raw beauty and values that truly matter.

Unlike most Iceland hiking videos filled with drone shots you’ll never actually see with your own eyes, this film was captured only with a phone, at human height — showing the landscapes exactly as they appear when you’re really there. Every color and view is real — just as you would experience it on the trail.

At the beginning of each hiking day, I share the trail statistics recorded by my Garmin watch — including Moving Time, Elevation Gain, Elevation Loss, Total Time, and Distance. Please note that these are my actual recorded numbers, and they include some extra kilometers and climbs I did while filming the video — so the official Laugavegur route is slightly shorter each day. I didn’t rush: I often stopped to take in the landscape, record the sounds, and get lost in my own thoughts. You’ll notice this in the difference between moving time and total time. That’s exactly what I recommend to anyone hiking the Laugavegur Trail — take your time, enjoy the silence, have a picnic when the weather allows, and truly be present in this incredible place.

Join me as I travel through the Icelandic Highlands — from the colorful rhyolite mountains of Landmannalaugar, across steaming hot springs, black sand deserts, glacial rivers, and deep green valleys — ending in the birch forests of Þórsmörk. Step by step, experience what it truly feels like to hike one of the most beautiful trails in the world.
