Some of the more expensive fishes more commonly found in high end Cantonese restaurants, can be bought live here. I go there often to buy shrimps, clams and fishes especially when we need to prepare hot pot dinner. Most of the seafood are held live in trays or buckets with water continuously circulating via tubes. There are also frozen seafood. Other than seafood, the market also carries other lean meats like beef & pork or poultries. Fruits & Vegetables are also available both inside & outside of the building. Just walk around the market and buy what looks fresh and delicious that day. Upstairs of the market in the Cooked Food Centre (熟食中心), there are also cooked food stalls, who can prepare & cook the seafood you bought to your specifications, at very wallet friendly prices. After your meal there, it is recommended to take a stroll along the Aberdeen Promenade to check out the Aberdeen harbour view.
