In this video, we show you how to make Restaurant Style Karahi Gosht. This is an Authentic Lamb Karahi Recipe which has been cooked in a traditional karahi. The tender and flavourful lamb pieces are submerged in a rich and smokey masala. Lamb and mutton karahi dishes were really popular in our restaurant, and today you can replicate the same authentic restaurant-style karahi flavour at home by following our recipe.

To make the Restaurant Style Karai Gosht, you will need:
1 large spoonful ghee (clarified butter)
1 inch cinnamon stick
2 cardamom pods
1/4 tsp whole black pepper
1/2 tsp whole cumin
2 large onions
2 bay leaves
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
2 tbs crushed ginger and garlic
2 green chilies (or to taste)
1 cup tinned tomatoes (or 3 medium-sized fresh grated tomatoes)
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Kashmiri child powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
2 tsp Karahi masala (we use and recommend Laziza or Shaan brands)
1.5 tbs yogurt
1 tbs tomato puree
1-2 cups hot water (or enough to cook the meat in)
1/4 tsp cumin powder
1 tbs ghee
1 tsp dried Kasuri methi
lemon or lime juice to taste
1 kg lamb or mutton (we used mixed cut with bone as it adds more flavour. Adjust cooking times if using mutton)

You can serve this Karahi Gosht with Tandoori roti, naan, chapati or even rice.
