Training legs with a herniated or bulging disc is both scary and frustrating if not done correctly. The key is to blend both reversing the disc herniation with building strength and resilience around the spine to keep it from getting worse or happening again.
Both of these take time and one of the components to making this happen is exercise.
One exercise that I like using with those dealing with herniated or bulging discs is the static reverse lunge. I prefer the static reverse lunge over the forward walking lunge any day of the week and I explain why in today's video.

The second favorite reverse lunge style is the rear foot elevated lunge. I break these two exercises down for anyone dealing with a disc injury or life post-fusion.
