A Recipe inspired from Walt Disney Chili Recipe ( cookbook available on my Amazon Link below)

2 lbs ground beef 85% lean
4 cans of pinto beans or red kidney beans
28 ounces of canned tomatoes
1 tbsp of chili powder
1 tsp onion powder
1tsp garlic powder
1 tsp paprika powder
1/2 tsp chili pepper powder
1/2 cumin powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp dried thyme
1 -2 onions
2 garlic cloves
1 tbsp of honey
2 tbsp olive oil
1-2 cups of water
Salt and pepper to taste

The cost for this meal broken down:
[ ] Ground beef $ 10
[ ] Canned tomatoes $ 1.49
[ ] Spices ( per spice roughly .21 (9)cents) = $1.89
[ ] Onions 1-2 .99 cents
[ ] Beans per can .85 cents (4)= $3.36
[ ] Honey .21 cents
[ ] .12 cents for the garlic cloves
[ ] Olive oil .79 cents
Total cost $18.85 ( 8 servings)
Per serving $ 2.36
Ingredients pricing was based on Lidls USA supermarket prices. Water, Salt and pepper were omitted in the cost.
