Описание: A late summer earth element practice with some exercises to nurture the spleen and stomach meridians. Nurturing and nourishment are the keys here.

KNOCKING ON THE GATE OF LIFE
Stay relaxed and let the movement of the waist throw the arms out to the sides. Loose fists knock on the belly and lower back, and then on the lung points at the front of the shoulder.

SHAKING
Gently shaking out any tension and tightness, letting the joints relax and become springy.
Try not to kick your shoe off, like I nearly did! 😂

THROWING THE CHI TO THE SIDE
Try to keep that same springy sensation through the ankles, knees and shoulders. The movement is as if you're throwing a ball out to the side.
As you exhale, imagine any stress or tension being expelled through your palm and out into the air around you, to be recycled.

SWINGING ARMS
Again, keeping the joints relaxed and supple. The movement of the legs sends the arms swinging. Exhale to expel tension as the arms release downwards.
This is a foundational medical qigong exercise, integrating a healthy flow of chi through the whole system.

RADIANT SPLEEN MASSAGE
A lovely technique from Prune Harris, connecting the spleen to the radiant circuits. The spleen is the nurturing, mothering meridian. I find this technique very relaxing.
Trace the spleen meridian from the big toe, up the inside of the leg then over the hip to the come up the side of the body to the armpit, then down again to the bottom of the ribcage.
Then run the hands to the lower back, over the hips and down to the lower belly, then bring them up the centre of the body and neck, to finish at the sides of the mouth. Hold it here for a breath, and enjoy.

STOMACH CLEANSING
From the organ cleansing routine of Daisy Lee and Garri Garripoli.
Exhale as the hands push outwards and inhale as they come inwards, bringing fresh clean energy up to the mouth.

MOON OVER THE LAKE
Relax and enjoy the gentle circling as you bring the palms to connect with the sky and then float down to smooth over the earth, rebalancing and circulating energy through the whole system.
The legs are strong and rooted to the earth, and the hands and arms are floating and light.

PEBBLE IN THE POND
A classic earth element practice. Feel your palm connect to the earth as you circle it out and round, and bring that earth energy back to store in the lower dantien in the belly.

BRINGING DOWN THE HEAVENS
Keeping that downward, grounding flow of energy is so important to stop ourselves from overthinking.
Stay rooted in your feet as you inhale, gathering energy from the sky, and then exhale and bring it showering down through the body and into the earth.

COMPLETION
One hand over the other on the belly, as you allow the chi gathered in our practice to be absorbed by your body to be used as it's needed.
