Описание: Chapter one starting the second Book of Samuel as with continuing this ongoing series in the OT where David remarks the famous lament over learning of both Saul and Johathan's passing. Hope you all enjoy! “How the mighty've fallen in the midst of the battle! “Jonathan lies slain on your high places. I am distressed for you, my brother Jonathan; very pleasant have you been to me; your love to me was extraordinary, surpassing the love of women. “How the mighty've fallen, and the weapons of war perished!” For godly grief produces a repentance that leads to salvation without regret, whereas (That's when we feel Jesus' Spirit tug upon ours, beloved!) worldly grief produces death. For see what earnestness this godly grief's produced in you, but also what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what longing, what zeal, what punishment! At every point you've proved yourselves innocent in the matter. So, although I wrote to you, it wasn't for the sake of the one who did the wrong, nor for the sake of the one who suffered the wrong, but in order that your earnestness for us might be revealed to you in the sight of God. Therefore, we're comforted." -Second Samuel 1:25-27 and Second Corinthians 7:10-13, ESV.
