Описание: Chapter two continuing this OT series in the Book of Second Samuel where David coops over Judah alongside his friend, Abner before Joab eliminates him. It was actually some fifteen to twenty odd plus years before David officiated as presiding king over all of the Israelites following Saul's assisted suicide. Hope you all enjoy! "David sent messengers to the men of Jabesh-Gilead and said to them, “May you be blessed by the Lord, because you showed this loyalty to Saul your lord and buried him. Now may the Lord show steadfast love (That basically corresponds to a term in the Hebrew meaning God's loving-kindness or Hesed. 'Course, this is rendered, agape in the Greek of the covenantal language employed in the NT) and faithfulness to you. And I'll do good to you because you've done this thing. Now, therefore let your hands be strong, and be valiant, for Saul your lord's (Anytime that lord's translated as being lowercase, it obviously refers to human governments. Every time, we see phrases such as, "the LORD, your God" it refers to Jesus' omnipotence basically) dead, and the house of Judah's anointed me king over them.” And Joab said, “As God lives, if you hadn't spoken, surely the men wouldn't have given up the pursuit of their brothers until the morning.” Or what king, going out to encounter another king in war, won't sit down firstly and deliberate whether he's able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? And if not, while the other's yet a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks for terms of peace. So, therefore, any one of you who doesn't renounce all that he has cannot be my disciple." -Second Samuel 2:5-7, 27 and Luke 14:31-33, ESV.
