Manfred Trenz's Opus Magnus. Cleared without continues, save states or rewind feature.
On the technical side its one of the best SNES titles ever (if not the best). Sadly there was possibly not enough time for really good enemy placements. Its being said, that Trenz wanted to develop a pure STG/Shmup without walking stages but had to implement these without enough time. But its great nevertheless.
Played on hard difficulty, which is in some moments more interesting but you have to stand the bosses much longer, which isnt that fun in some cases.
It seems so play in the world of Manfreds Turrican, Crush and so on, as you can see on some bosses, enemies, weapons and stage ideas.
