The Perfect Buttermere Hike | Rannerdale Knotts Circuit Walk

Описание: Starting in the Lakeland village of Buttermere this walk will take us up Rannerdale Knotts before taking a shore walk around Crummock Water. We work our way on to the fell and take a steady ascent which gives us much of our height for today. It becomes a more gradual ascent as we reach the summit of Rannerdale Knotts. I come off to the right but this route to the left is also a good descent. It joins the beck and there is a steady track taking us to Crummock Water. Heading along the wooded section to the northern point we get to see the reservoir work before turning back to Buttermere on the Western shore. This is an easy and flat walk especially at the top section. Walking close to Crummock Water’s edge we get great views up towards Rannerdale Knotts and the surrounding fells. Passing over Scale Beck we enter the final section of the walk. Buttermere is in sight as we complete the circuit and find some refreshments in the village.
