An ARTC track grinder works its way along the mainline of Moorabool loop, passing through a level crossing while watched on by a fire fighting support vehicle. As the grinder approaches the crossing it uses its internal fire suppression hose to release a few squirts of water. Meanwhile the support vehicle is seen lowering its hirail wheels to test they are functioning correctly.
LORAM took over the Aurizon rail grinding business in 2019 including all assets such as this newly built 120-stone RG419 which is claimed to be "the most productive rail grinder in the Southern Hemisphere".
