Brownsville Revisited | Pensacola, Florida | Former BRSM student

Описание: Saturday, June 25, 2016 – At the end of our first week of sabbatical my wife and I departed Gulf Shores Alabama and made our way to Pensacola Florida for the day. 18 years ago I lived there and attended the Brownsville Revival School of Ministry (BRSM); a bible school that was birthed out of the Brownsville Revival (aka the Pensacola Revival/Father's Day Outpouring). I had not been there since the day I departed 18 years before. My vivid memories of the city/revival made this visit enjoyably surreal. The places we visited were all "altars" in my life; places where God marked me and I would never be the same.

The journey begins along old Highway 98 at the former location of Liberty Church (now New Life Church), which doubled as the campus of BRSM. Next we stopped at the Crystal Lake Apartments which is where I lived from the fall of 97 to the spring of 98. Finally we stopped at Brownsville Assembly of God church. On the day we visited, it just so happened that they were having an entire day of continuous worship, which allowed us to enter, reflect, worship and pray. A pastor's wife told us that the "river" has never stopped flowing at Brownsville.

Although the revival was controversial to some, misunderstood by others, and by no means perfect (since imperfect people led it) [^insert grace], there is no doubt that thousands upon thousands of people were saved, delivered and healed by the transforming power of Jesus. I choose to remember and take away the positives that came out of it for me. It was a beautiful season that was marked by times of incredible challenge and loneliness, but also learning and impartation.

This is a video that I had been waiting to make for a long time. I hope you like it, especially if the Lord used Brownsville to transform you life.
