The Archbishop of Kampala, Paul Ssemogerere, has used today's Ash Wednesday mass at St. Mary’s and Sacred Heart Cathedral, Rubaga, to call on the faithful to use the Lenten period to repent. Archbishop Ssemogerere singled out the rising state of crime in the country, including the many reported murders, to emphasise the critical need for the government to take action.
