Описание: A representative of India's most ignored 'third gender', sharing the transformation from being born as the youngest male, but eventually understanding his inclinations being ladylike and how the life and his popularity made Kamble aka Mauli, Sarpanch of the village is beautifully portrayed by Dyaneshwar Kamble in his mother tongue Marathi. Taking the tough path, believing it's his fate, and inspiring people to accept people as people, is what he intends to spread here. Kamble strongly believes that the LGBTQ community needs better representation in government institutions and organizations. Dnyaneshwar Kamble is the first ever transgender person to be elected as sarpanch in India. Dnyaneshwar won by more than 800 votes out of 1600 voting population of Tarangfal Village in Solapur District of Maharashtra. Dnyaneshwar won people's hearts with dedication towards providing basic facilities of Education and Sanitation. Dnyaneshwar is also fondly called "Mauli" by local villagers This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
