River Valley AgCredit is a part of the nationwide Farm Credit System and has been providing financing for agriculture and rural living since 1916. They serve Western Kentucky as well as twelve counties in Tennessee, with a total of twelve branches to serve their customers. River Valley AgCredit has a cooperative structure that allows them to return a portion of profits to borrowers in the form of patronage refunds. Their primary function is to provide agricultural loans for local farming operations by serving agribusinesses, established farms, and young farmers just starting out. As a complete financial institution for the agricultural industry, they also provide a full range of other financial services for their customers. Controlled by a group of local directors who are also farmers, with more than $500 million in loans outstanding, and more than 5,000 members, River Valley AgCredit provides competitive rates, personal service, and extensive local knowledge.
