There are so many things I wish I knew before starting van life, whether you're vehicle is for camping or everyday living in the city these tips may be helpful to you. My experience is based on Western Australian rules and regulations, each state in Australia has it's own set of rules so be sure to look into the ones relevant to where your vehicle is registered.

I think it is important to try and make sure you have everything registered correctly, there may be issues with your insurance if there is an accident and the vehicle hasn't been approved in its current state.
