AGTOS, manufacturer of shot blasting machines, and SEW, a family company in the field of drive systems, have realized a joint project in the field of surface technology. The result is an automated blasting cell for mass castings. In the SEW USOCOME plant in Forbach, France, the SEW Group's competence center for aluminum parts, AGTOS 'new rubber belt tumble blasting machine was installed for the finishing of covers for terminal boxes and gearboxes. The blasting target is the deburring of the parts and the creation of a uniform surface. The parts are washed after blasting and then painted.
