Continuing on the conversation from yesterday, I wanted to touch on the complexities of rights and intellectual properties as they apply not just to Rings of Power and Middle Earth, but beyond to other projects.
J.R.R. Tolkien seems to have been against adaptations in the visual format, based largely on the fact that at the time of his being alive there were barely any high quality visual projects being put forth. I wonder how he would have felt could he see the visual effects of today's film and television productions
