Описание: Today we're diving into the Rings of Power and Amazon's decision to fire leading Tolkien scholar Tom Shippey from the production, in favor of their "unnamed" experts. Who are they? Are they even real?

I also discuss the online abuse towards Mariana Rios Maldonado, who as far as I can tell has no affiliation with the RIngs of Power show and appears to simply be a PhD student on her way to becoming a Tolkien scholar with her own take on things. In fact, the Vanity Fair piece even states this (that she has nothing to do with the Amazon show), yet we have people claiming she was one of the individuals hired by Amazon to replace Shippey and consult on the diversity components of the upcoming Middle Earth series.
