While making the machinist's jack I needed to profile a ball on the end of the screw. Rather than attempt to bodge it I thought it would be worth making a radius turning tool which I can use for a range of diameters. This design will enable balls up to 2in to be machined on a Myford lathe. It should also enable balls to be turned close to shoulders which is required for the job at hand. This is part 1 of 5 videos.
