António Coelho, an organic farmer and co-founder of Terra Sintrópica, turned to syntropic farming out of necessity — the old ways were no longer suitable for the region. At first sceptical, he realized that without change, farming might not survive.
Terra Sintrópica is part of the BIOTraCes case study Mértola future lab which fosters innovative solutions for ecological and economically sustainable food production.
