In the former UN "safe area" of Srebrenica, Bosnian Serb troops
are making it clear it is they who are now in charge. Anyone
arriving in the town is now greeted by a sign in the Serbs'
Cyrillic script. In the nearby town of Bratunac, a doctor
said yesterday (16/7) that "red tape" had hampered the treatment
of people wounded in the Serb attack on Srebrenica. Dutch doctor
Colonel Andrae Schouten has insufficient surgical facilities and
says many of the wounded need urgently to be airlifted to receive
the attention they require.
