Bosnia - Victorious Mladic In Embattled Srebrenica

The Bosnian Serb army swept into the town of Srebrenica on Tuesday
(11/7) with apparent ease. Firing on a mainly unarmed population
and undeterred by two NATO air strikes against their tanks, the
Serbs humiliated the U.N. peacekeeping force charged with
protecting the town. NATO jets tried to stem the advance, but they came under sustained Serb fire. Bosnian Serb military commander general Ratko Mladic revelled in his victory. He visited refugees in the area telling them they would not be harmed, but was believed to have been there to oversee their expulsion.
