Professor Anthony Capon notes the importance of Indigenous knowledge, as reflected in IUHPE 2019's theme: Waiora.
Tony Capon is the inaugural Professor of Planetary Health in the School of Public Health at the University of Sydney. Tony is a public health physician with more than 25 years of senior leadership experience spanning academic, policy and practice roles.
A former director of the global health institute at United Nations University (UNU-IIGH), Tony is an authority on environmental health and health promotion. His research focuses on transdisciplinary understanding of urban futures, sustainable development and human health.
