The police custody for Sandalwood actor Ragini Dwivedi has been extended by 5 days. Sandalwood star Ragini Dwivedi was arrested on the 4th of September 2020 for her alleged links with Bengaluru drug racket. This is because there are several other lines of investigation that the Police wants to explore at this point in time. One among the angles that are coming to light is the Congress corporator Keshavamurthy's son Yashas' name has come up in a separate case altogether.
Also, a suo-moto FIR was registered against 12 people of which only 4 have been arrested and the police want to continue with the arrests of these people and get more information on where exactly were these drug parties being organized and how were the drugs being circulated.
There have also been links between the Kerala Gold Smuggling case and Bengaluru drug nexus. The Kochi court grants permission to the Customs Department to interrogate 6 accused in Kerala gold smuggling case. The court granted permission to interrogate them in the Bengaluru drug case.
