Cynthia came to Pilates in 1976 as a young dancer with the New York City Ballet (she was also in the movie Fame) and remains at the center of the Romana's Pilates organization traveling worldwide as a Teacher Trainer. In Part 1 our interview, Cynthia touches on many topics, including: why she hated Pilates at first and why she returned to it later; the life and business lessons she learned from Romana; what qualities she sees in a great teacher; what she feels is the greatest shame about the way the Pilates method is taught today; how to discover the depth of the Pilates in your own body, and more.
