Iron Man 2 has a reputation as one of the weaker MCU movies—but is it really that bad?
In this review, I revisit Iron Man 2 (2010) and talk about why it’s actually a solid, overhated sequel. From Robert Downey Jr.’s performance as a reckless, spiraling Tony Stark, to Sam Rockwell’s just okay Justin Hammer, to the early days of MCU world-building with SHIELD and Black Widow, there’s a lot more here that works than people remember.
Is it messy? Yes.
Does it try to do too much? Absolutely.
But bad? Not even close.
This is part of my ongoing MCU rewatch and ranking series, as we revisit every Marvel movie leading up to the next big Avengers event.
