The Call to Worship – Psalm 119:97-104, NKJV

L: Oh, how I love Your law! It is my meditation all the day.

P: You, through Your commandments, make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me.

L: I have more understanding than all my teachers, For Your testimonies are my meditation.

P: I understand more than the ancients, Because I keep Your precepts.

L: I have restrained my feet from every evil way, That I may keep Your word.

P: I have not departed from Your judgments, For You Yourself have taught me.

L: How sweet are Your words to my taste, Sweeter than honey to my mouth!

P: Through Your precepts I get understanding; Therefore I hate every false way.


The Prayer of Confession

Father, we come before You knowing we are sinners. We have failed to love You best. We have loved our positions, our possessions, our power, and our play more than we have loved You. Open our eyes to the reality that the things of this earth are temporary, while You are eternal. Help us to love You more than anything else, even our own lives. Forgive us for having placed other things ahead of our relationship with You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.


Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and Earth:

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting. Amen
