In this video I try to create the famous Haas Effect using my TONEX setup and a very cheap delay pedal.
The idea is simple: send the guitar signal to two sides and delay one side slightly (around 10–20ms). This can create a wide stereo guitar sound without using chorus or double tracking.
But can this actually work with a cheap delay pedal?
In this video I test it using:
• IK Multimedia TONEX
• Flamma FC03 Delay
• Fender Telecaster
• simple stereo setup
The Haas effect is a well-known psychoacoustic trick used in studios to make guitars sound bigger and wider. In theory it should also work live with a delay pedal.
So the real question is…
Does it work?
🎵 The music used in this video comes from the song "Get Away" by TizniX.
