Antony Gormley’s artistic practice questions the transformational potential of sculpture and how it can be rooted to its place to empower collective engagement. In this talk, the artist explains why he left his studio practice to pursue site-specific, collaborative projects, including ‘Asian Field’ at M+. He questions who art can be for, what it can do, how it can be seen, and what changing contexts—temporal, geographical, and environmental—can mean for both art makers and viewers.
