-The church of the true believers must keep on believing to the end until they receive their blessing
-We must walk by fait and not by sight (Isaiah 7:9; If you do not stand firm in your faith,
you will not stand at all.’”)
-We have read about Jairus, a senior synagogue official, who had a sick daughter to the point of death
-Endurance in faith is essential for overcoming trials and experiencing God’s promises.
1. Faith Tested by Delay
Jairus’ faith was challenged when Jesus stopped to heal another person.
Delays in our prayers are not denials; God’s timing often stretches our faith.
The lesson: Don’t lose faith when God seems to be attending to others first
2. Voices of Doubt
The messengers told Jairus, “Your daughter is dead. Why bother the teacher anymore?”
Doubt often comes from external voices that discourage persistence in prayer.
Believers must guard against negative voices that weaken faith.
3. Jesus’ Command: “Only Believe”
Faith is not optional—it is the condition for experiencing God’s power.
Fear and faith cannot coexist; Jesus calls Jairus to choose faith over fear.
This is the central exhortation of the sermon: Keep believing until the end
4. Faith Beyond Sight
Jairus had to believe even when circumstances (death) seemed final.
True faith looks beyond human impossibility to divine possibility.
The miracle of resurrection demonstrates that faith transcends natural limits.
5. Victory Through Endurance
Jairus’ persistence led to his daughter’s restoration.
The sermon emphasizes that blessings are received not by starting in faith, but by finishing in faith.
Endurance is the hallmark of true discipleship.
