Tinos island - Cyclades | explore Greece

Описание: Welcome to #Greece! Here's a short clip from #Tinos. A greek #island, situated in the #AegeanSea, located in the #Cyclades archipelago. Apart from the miraculous icon of Virgin Mary, Tinos is well known for the beautiful sandy beaches, picturesque villages and the minimal Cycladic architecture that will captivate you! Come take a short tour with me, around the island!

On my visit to the island I stayed at #Tinos Beach Hotel Resort. Gazing towards the sea, the hotel is the defining landmark of #Kionia, a popular summer resort situated 3 km south from #Chora.
Staying in Kionia, I always accommodate my meals at #ΓηΟυρανόςΘάλασσα, one of my favourite taverns on the island with excellent hosts and traditional food. There are always new additions and surprises on the menu!
Don't skip a visit at #Volax, a small village with a unique surrounding of big round rocks which create a lunar landscape!
Traveling to the North West, you' ll crash onto one of the most amazing traditional villages, widely acclaimed as one of the most scenic spots in Cyclades, #Pyrgos. The village, introduced some of the finest marble artists. Today, marble workshops, galleries and the school of fine arts are functioning, continuing the tradition of marble. Every corner of the village is a work of art.
Follow the road to its end and you'll find yourself in #Panormos, the picturesque seaport of #Pyrgos.
Last, but not least, the #Chora with the church of Virgin Mary, is the capital of the island and its commercial and tourist center. You will definitely fall in love wondering around the paths between the shops and the houses just to end up on the uphill that leads to the #LadyOfTinos with the miraculous icon.
