Pyrgos is the largest village of Tinos. Located 30 km from the town, it is one of the most beautiful villages of the island and one of the most picturesque of the Cyclades. The stately beauty, traditional architecture and authenticity of landscapes create a special atmosphere. The whitewashed houses of Pyrgos are adorned with marble arches and stairs. In the village square there is an impressive marble fountain built in 1778. In the area is the home of Aleppos, the famous sculptor, which has been converted into a museum and sculpture workshop. The nearest beach is Panormos and there are several hotels in the area.
