Case 504BDTI Head Gasket Replacement

Описание: Our payloader that we call Wally started pushing coolant out of the radiator overflow. The temperature gauge wasn’t very good so I didn’t know if it was overheating. I checked the thermostats and the water pump. They were both fine.
This video shows the basics of how to replace the head gasket, torque heads, set valves, install manifolds, and my favourite part, paint the engine. I’ve included some pages from the repair manual to help out anyone doing this job.
The 504BDTI was used in a wide variety of applications. This W36 Case payloader has it as well as case dozers and other Case construction equipment from this era. Don’t quote me on this but I believe it was used in these Case tractors: 770, 780, 870, 880, 885, 970, 980, 990, 995, 1070, 1090, 1170, 1175, 1200, 1210, 1212, 1270, 1370, 1410, 1412, 1570, 3800, 4600.
