I live on the 8th floor of a high-rise apartment in Tokyo.
Why the 8th floor?
It’s partly about family, partly about Chinese culture, and maybe even about future resale value.
Today, I head to the dentist and show you small parts of everyday life in Tokyo—bicycle parking, tax season, inflation, McDonald’s prices, and a neighborhood with a strong Chinese community.
Sometimes daily life looks ordinary.
But maybe that ordinary rhythm is what makes Japan interesting.
Is Japan still inexpensive compared to where you live?
Let me know in the comments.
