Eucalyptus leaf in watercolour

Описание: This is a time lapse of my watercolour painting of a single Eucalyptus leaf. Because there is only one leaf I am building it up with a lot more layers and detail than I might if it was a painting with 50 leaves. It shows my techniques of using wet-in-wet, wet on dry and dry brush to add detail. I do have online tutorials which go into a lot more detail about my process and techniques, links are below.

I'm a natural history illustrator living in Jerrabomberra, near Canberra, Australia. I've been painting botanical watercolours for many years and more recently insects. I teach painting both botanical and insects in watercolour. I'll be sharing with you some demonstration videos and time lapses of paintings I'm working on.
