EASY GROUND BEEF HOAGIE SANDWICHES

Описание: Easy to make ground beef hoagie sandwiches with seasoned ground beef with onions and peppers served between warm hoagie rolls.

Shopping List:
1 lb. ground chuck beef 80/20
1 tbsp. canola or vegetable oil
1 small sweet onion, diced
1 small green bell pepper, roughly chopped
2 small mushrooms, roughly chopped
1 tbsp. brown sugar
1/4 cup tomato sauce
1 tbsp. Worcestershire
1/4 cup ketchup
1/4 cup beef broth
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Pinch chili powder
Pinch red pepper flakes
Salt and pepper to taste
6 slices provolone cheese (or your favorite cheese)

Directions:
Heat a skillet over medium heat and add the oil. Add the onions, peppers, brown sugar and mushrooms. Saute 5-7 minutes until softened. Remove and set aside.
Increase the heat to medium high and add the ground beef. Brown and drain excess grease. Add the onions and peppers and season with the remainder of the seasonings. Simmer about 15 minutes until the liquid has evaporated.
Separate the meat mixture into portions and top with the cheese. Allow the cheese melts, add to warmed hoagie buns and serve.
