Lost In The Woods - A Canoeing Story in Canada's Remote Boreal Forest --- Rare Wolverine Sighting

Описание: I don’t know if I’ll ever have another trip quite like this one. Nearly having a moose swim into the side of my canoe, just minutes before having a wolverine run along the shore beside me! These are just a couple of the highlights from this incredible trip through Canada’s Boreal Forest in northern Ontario.   

In the summer of 2023 I (Keenan) and my trusty travel companion Betty-Lou planned a trip through a seldom traveled park in northwestern Ontario.  St Raphael provincial park only sees a handful of canoeists every year and there is very little information about this park. Although, I had high hopes that this would be an incredible canoe trip it completely exceeded my expectations!

Seeing eagles, moose, wolverine, bear and what felt like hundreds of loons, this trip was exceptional for wildlife. Catching a never-ending supply of Walleye just added to this incredible journey. Honestly, it’s hard to ask for anything more on a canoe trip and I feel very lucky I had the opportunity to explore and canoe through this amazing place.
