Ingredients:
150 g fresh apple (grated)
1 dash cinnamon
30 g oatmeal
120 ml water
1 dash salt
1/2tsp vanilla extract
5g butter
60 ml milk
For serving:
1 tbsp honey
10 g caramelized apples
Instructions:
Wash the apple, peel if desired, and grate it. Small pieces will soften faster and blend better into the oatmeal.
In a small saucepan, combine the grated apple, cinnamon, salt, oatmeal, water, and vanilla. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and cook for 7–10 minutes, stirring frequently, as the oats absorb the liquid and thicken.
Place butter on the bottom of the bowl, then put the hot porridge on top and pour cold milk over everything.
👉 Tip: If you like a smooth, creamy porridge, then add milk and butter to the pan and continue cooking the oatmeal for another minute.
Top with caramelized apples and drizzle with honey just before serving.
