A four night trip to Yorkshire, starting on a Thursday night in Helmsley, on the southern edge of the North York Moors National Park. Then a day out in Whitby with a brief visit to Riveaulx Abbey on the return journey to Helmsley. Saturday and it's on to York with a stop off at Castle Howard on the way. Sunday was a full day out in York, which was crowded – it was a weekend, and there was a foodie festival on, so it wasn't easy to walk around without tripping over other tourists. Then unfortunately on the Monday our trip had to be cut short as one of us tested positive for Covid, which meant that we had to head home early.
So another trip to York is planned – next time we'll tour the Minster properly, and visit the National Railway Museum.
Note: This video was shot in late September 2022 – Covid, a death in the family, Christmas and New Year all conspired to delay production
