Some days, starting a creative project just feels impossible. When my health anxiety flares up, my thoughts can feel overwhelming, and the pressure to make something ‘good’ only makes it worse. On those days, I turn to this gentle drawing exercise on my iPad. It’s simple, it doesn’t need much thinking, and it helps quiet the mind while still giving me that little spark of creativity. This practice works because it lets your hands move without your brain getting in the way—no decisions, no pressure, just tracing, colour, and calm.
If you don't have an ipad or just prefer a more traditional form of creating, you can also do this by tracing an image by the window and colouring it with pencil, crayons, paint, ink, whatever you fancy.
