Corbin and I hiked the Maple Pass Loop. We actually tried doing this hike in the spring of 2024, but we had to turn back because there was too much snow. We thought we might have to back out this time as well due to the wildfire smoke from Oregon blowing towards North Cascades NP. Fortunately, the smoke wasn’t as bad in the Maple Pass Loop area compared to the rest of the park. I totally understand why this hike is so popular. It's a relatively easy hike with amazing views. Swimming in Ann Lake and Rainy Lake was so refreshing. People were saying we were crazy for swimming in those lakes, but I've definitely swum in colder lakes
