In this video I have gone into detail about all of the equipment Avery has needed so far. These devices help her do even the simplest of things that are often taken for granted. Before Avery's event I had no idea how much skill, coordination and strength it takes even just to eat or drink.

I have broken this video down into categories to make it a little less overwhelming (believe me I know just how overwhelming it can be!). I'm showing you Avery's feeding, sitting, bathing, standing and safety equipment.

As painful as it is to see my baby girl strapped into some of these devices, I am incredibly grateful that there has been enough research to develop devices that help give babies with Cerebral Palsy and other developmental conditions a good start, I owe Avery's life to some of this equipment.

I really hope there are some of you out there that find this video informative. I know when we first started diving into the world of special needs equipment, it was incredibly overwhelming. So my intent for this video is to give a bit of information and real life experience on what equipment may be needed to help your baby's development and quality of life.

I have listed what I can of the things mentioned in this video below, but a lot of it is not available in the general market (as far as I know). Of course I am not a Doctor or a medical professional so I can only speak from experience and what I have learned along the way, but be sure to consult with your child's medical professionals or therapists when making decisions about specialised equipment. What's right for my daughter's needs may not be right for your child's. Every child is unique.
