this was a love i didn’t want to lose. the exit four (also known as the munks) hail from montréal, canada, with members eddy kaye, rick st. jean, tagg hindsgaul, and rene boileau, later joined by lorri zimmerman in ‘68. i’m not sure why they changed their name for this release, which is the a-side of “hold me close” on regency records. they had three other singles on columbia, london, and phonodisque. i hope you like this gloomy garage rambler on a bashing blue label.
