This was my first solo camping trip of 2026, and I wanted to start the year right alone, quiet, and off the grid. I headed north of Amarillo, found a solid canyon campsite near the river, and spent the time doing what I love most: hiking the canyons, a little trail running, some 4-wheeling, and safe recreational shooting.
No crowds. No noise. Just wind through the canyon, river views, campfire nights, and real silence. Trips like this reset my head and remind me why I love being outdoors and going solo.
